Overview

There have been instances where antivirus scanning has quarantined the Weighsoft software updater. To prevent this and ensure smooth updates, it is recommended to exclude specific folders from active antivirus scanning.

Folder Location

  • The location of the folder may vary depending on your infrastructure.

  • In a split application/SQL server configuration, the relevant files are always located on the application server.

What to Look For

  • Look for a folder named Isys (or Weighsoft on older installations) at the root of the disk.

  • This folder should contain the following subfolders:

    • Installer

    • Instances

    • Services

If these subfolders are present, this is the folder that should be excluded from antivirus scanning.

Recommendation

  • Exclude the Isys (or Weighsoft) folder and its subfolders from active antivirus scanning on the application server.

  • This will help prevent the software updater from being quarantined and ensure uninterrupted updates.
