Overview

In the Skips and Materials app it is possible to scan a barcode or QR code in order to populate the "Container Number" field rather than the driver entering the number manually.

Setup

The only setup that is required for this process is the creation of the QR codes. This is to done my Access and you will need either do it ourself or use a 3rsd party to create them for you.

You will need to create a separate QR code for each container number, and then attach that code to the container itself (for example, get the code printed onto sticker that can then be attached to the container.

One option to create the codes yourself is this website with a free trial period: QR.IO

Note: The QR Code or Barcode "type" will need to be text in order for the process to work

Example/Test QR Code (when scanned it will display the number "123456"

Process

In order to scan a QR code or barcode you simply need to click on the barcode button in the top-right of the screen. If the code is setup correctly then the number will be populated in the "Search" field.
