Defra require the carrier registration to be in a particular format as shown below. If the registration is not in the correct format, the record sent will come back as failed.

General Format where 9 is a digit 0-9

CBDL9, CBDL99, CBDU999 (1+ digits)

i.e. CBDU999999 (Upper Tier) or CBDL999999 (Lower Tier), where "CBD" stands for "Carrier, Broker, Dealer"

Typically starts with WCR followed by numbers and potentially letters according to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).

Include a prefix like ROC followed by UT (Upper Tier) or LT (Lower Tier) and then numbers. Note the spaces are not mandatory.
