Unless Weighsoft is hosted by the Access Group, Weighsoft 5 is installed as an internal only application and assigned to an HTTP address. HTTP is considered by modern web browsers to be insecure and HTTPS should be utilised, however when a web application is installed internally, the risks associated with HTTP are largely mitigated. Although the browser will show Weighsoft as not secure, Weighsoft is safe to use.

To bypass this message:

  1. Click Advanced

  2. Click Continue to domain (unsafe) where domain is the URL for your Weighsoft installation

If you are not hosted by the Access Group and wish to have the additional layer of security that comes with HTTPS, you will need to speak to your IT team about acquiring an SSL certificate and configuring Internet Information Services to run Weighsoft via HTTPS. Due to the requirements of an SSL certificate for HTTP, Access would not be involved in making this change over nor in maintaining HTTPS access.

If your installation is by the Access Group, please raise a case and we will refer the issue on to our hosting team.
