Overview
Large print runs can take a lot of time and use a lot of resources, which can effect other areas of the system.
For this reason Weighsoft has the ability to offload a large invoice run prints so the processing is carried out in the background.
Note: this feature is only available from version 5.536 onwards
Settings
In order for this functionality to work you must enable the below setting:
Go to Administration>System Settings>App Services
Locate and Enable the following settings - "Offload Long Running Processes To a Queue"
Then in the Invoice Ledger or an Invoice run tracker, select the invoices you want to print and use the function link to print them >> Export selected to PDF (background)
You will get a notification from Weighsoft when the PDF is ready for printing with no need to stay on the invoice ledger page while the PDF compiles.
If you wish to check on the progress of a print run being compiled, you can navigate to Administration>Lookups>Process Long-Running Tasks.
Here you can view (and deletes required) any tasks that are in progress.
You can also click the "Download" ink to download the copy of any previously completed tasks.
