Weighsoft Go Setup

This article covers the steps to setup and start using the Weighsoft Go supplier app

Overview

Weighsoft Go is a mobile app designed to be used by external suppliers which allows you to assign jobs to them in Weighsoft and have those jobs appear on their own external mobile devices.

The supplies download the app to their own devices, you assign the jobs to their set vehicle in Weighsoft (which is also linked to Weighsoft Go) and the jobs appear on their devices the same as they woudl for you own drivers using the main Weighsoft android app.

Please note that Weighsoft Go currently supports Skips and Materials only.

To use Weighsoft Go, both the driver and the vehicle must be set up in Weighsoft. These steps can be completed in any order, as long as the email address used in Weighsoft matches the one used by the driver to register in the app (see the below sections for details on how to do this)


How enable Weighsoft Go on your system

Enabling Weighsoft Go does involve a licensing charge so you will need to first contact your Account Manager for full details.

The initial setup will need to be handled by your Account Manager and the Professional Services team who will get the system enabled and setup, as well as go through initial training on the systems use.

Application Credits

Weighsoft Go operates on the use of Credits which can be purchased via your Account manager. A Weighsoft Go credit use each time a job is complete via the app.

Credits can be tracked via the Weighsoft Go Ticket Overview screen - your remaining credits are listed in the top-left corner of the screen.

When you are running low on credits your account manager is notified automatically via email and they will reach out to discuss it with you.


How do the suppliers get the app?

The app can be found in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store and is free to download.

Registration Steps:

  1. Open the Weighsoft Go app on the device

  2. Tap Register

  3. Complete the following fields:

    • Full Name

    • Phone Number

    • Email Address – Must match the email entered in Weighsoft

    • Password and Confirm Password

  4. Tap Register, then OK to complete setup


Setting up a Supplier to use Weighsoft Go

In order for jobs to be assigned toa supplies via Weighsoft Go the following need to be in place:

  1. The driver for that supplier needs to have the app installed and registered on their device

  2. That Supplier needs to exist in Lookups>Suppliers in Weighsoft and be set as a Haulier

  3. That supplier needs to have vehicles linked to it in Lookups>Vehicles

  4. The driver must be set as a "Weighsoft Go User"

  5. That vehicle needs to be set to use Weighsoft Go and must be set as an "Authorised Weighsoft Go Vehicle"

Set Up a Driver for Weighsoft Go

  1. Navigate to:
    Administration → Lookups → Weighsoft Go Users

  2. Complete the following fields:

    • Driver Name – Enter the driver’s full name

    • Phone Number – Optional

    • Email – Must match the email used by the driver to register in the app

  3. Click Insert to save the user.


Enable a Vehicle for use with Weighsoft Go

  1. Navigate to:
    Administration → Lookups → Vehicles

  2. Either:

    • Create a new vehicle, or

    • Select an existing vehicle to be used with Weighsoft Go

  3. On the right-hand side, set Mobile Type to Weighsoft Go

  4. Click Save

THEN

  1. Navigate to:
    Administration → Lookups → Weighsoft Go Authorised Vehicles

  2. Select the vehicle (only vehicles with Mobile Type set to Weighsoft Go will appear)

  3. Select the corresponding Weighsoft Go user from the "Email" drop down menu

  4. Click "+" button to authorise the pairing

Note: Only a single user can be set to each vehicle. if you try to set a second user it will just replace the existing one. if that happens all obs and emails will be sent to the new users email address set against the vehicle.
