Importing Prices in Weighsoft

This article details the process of importing prices to Weighsoft via a CSV file template.

Weighsoft allows you to import a large number of prices using a spreadsheet template. This is ideal for bulk price creation and updates.

Step 1: Download the Import Template

  1. Hover over Administration.

  2. Click on Lookups.

  3. Select Imports.

  4. Click the Download Template link next to the “Prices” line.

    • For Skip Tonnage Charges, download "Price Tonnages" instead

  5. Your browser will download a file named PriceImport.csv.


Step 2 - Prices: Fill in the Template

The template includes a sample entry in row 1 — delete this before importing.

Required Fields

Field

Description

Product

Product code in Weighsoft. For weighbridge prices, use the waste product code. For skip prices, use the skip size.

Price Cash

Price for cash jobs.

Price Account

Price for account (non-cash) jobs.

From Date

Start date for the price.

Unit

Unit of sale (e.g., LOAD, KG).

Optional Fields

Description

Price Group

Applies the price to a specific price group.

Waste Type

Waste type associated with the price.

Outlet

Specific outlet the price applies to.

Zone

Zone the price applies to.

Supplier

Supplier-specific pricing.

To Date

End date for the price (leave blank for no expiry).

Account

Account-specific pricing.

Address

Address-specific pricing.

Incl Tax

Indicates if the price includes tax.

Min Price

Minimum charge for the price.

Max Price

Maximum charge for the price.

Container

For weighbridge prices, e.g., “General Waste” in an “8-yard skip”.

Important: If the Account or Address fields contain values that don’t exist in Weighsoft, they will be cleared during import, resulting in a price with no specified account/address.


Step 2 - Skip Tonnages: Fill in the Template

The template includes a sample entry in row 1 — delete this before importing.

Customer Order No

The Default Customer Order Number to be applied to the surcharge

Important: If the Account or Address fields contain values that don’t exist in Weighsoft, they will be cleared during import, resulting in a price with no specified account/address.

Step 3: Import the Template

  1. Save the completed spreadsheet to your PC.

  2. Return to the Imports screen in Lookups.

  3. Click Choose File and select your saved CSV.

  4. Click the Process link next to the “Prices” (or "Price Tonnages") line.

Weighsoft will import the template and create the prices accordingly.
