Overview
There are various settings in the system that can prevent job creating in the event of an account's Credit Limit being exceeded.
Prerequisites
The settings will only affect an account that has a Credit Limit in place.
For details on how to set a Credit Limit please refer to the knowledge article on Setting or Amending a Credit Limit.

Warning If Committed > Credit Limit | If enabled, the system will display a warning when attempting to create a job while an account is over its credit limit |
Stop If Committed > Credit Limit | If enabled, the system will prevent job creation when attempting to create a job while an account is over its credit limit (can be used with the above setting to also display a warning) |
Stop If Committed > Credit Limit On Weighbridge | If enabled, the system will prevent job creation on the Weighbridge if the account's "Committed" value exceeds its credit limit. Note: the "Committed" value includes the current balance as well the value of any outstanding jobs against the account. |
Disable WB Job Via Order Credit Check | If enabled the system will not carry out a credit limit check when using the New Job Via Order option at the Weighbridge |
Check Credit Limit Skip OST | If enabled the system will carry out a Credit Limit check when completing a Skip ticket in Skip Outstanding Tickets |

Email When Warning Fired | If enabled the system will send an email out every time a credit limit check warning is displayed |

Email When Extension Applied | If enabled the system will send an email each time a credit limit extension is applied |
Approaching Credit Limit Alert | If the box is filled in, the system will send out an email when an account gets within a certain percentage of their credit limit. Example: If you enter 5 into the box then an email will be sent when an account has 5% of their credit limit remaining |
Credit Limit Job Email To | This controls who the Credit Limit reached or exceeded email is sent to. Multiple email addresses must be separated by a ";". |
Weighbridge - Prevent Job Creation When Credit Limit Exceeded | If enabled, the system will prevent Weighbridge jobs from being created against any account which is over its Credit Limit Note: This is used in conjunction with the below option to stop the jobs as well as display the warning (if this is enabled the option to bypass the warning is removed) |
Weighbridge - Warn When Credit Limit Exceeded | If enabled, the system will display a warning if you attempt to create a Weighbridge job against any account which is over its Credit Limit. Note: this warning allows the user to click "Yes" to bypass the warning and create the job anyway |

Why warnings may not appear
If you are finding that credit limit warnings are not appearing when expected, check the following:
The Credit Limit field on the account is blank or set to zero — a blank or zero credit limit is treated as unlimited, so no warning or stop will fire regardless of the system settings above. Navigate to the account, click Modify, go to the Invoice tab, and verify the Credit Limit field has a value.
The Bypass Credit Limit option is enabled on the account — this suppresses all credit limit checks for that account. Check the Invoice tab on the account record.
The relevant system-wide warning settings above are not enabled — Warning If Committed > Credit Limit and the Weighbridge equivalents must be turned on for warnings to display.
A user has clicked through the warning — the Warning setting allows users to click Yes to bypass it. If you need to prevent job creation entirely, use the Stop If Committed > Credit Limit setting instead.
The account balance is calculated differently to what is expected — the Committed value includes outstanding job values as well as the current balance. An account may not appear over its limit in the balance view but may be over its committed value.
A credit extension is active on the account — when a credit extension is applied, it bypasses all credit limit checks for that account until the extension expiry date. Warnings and stops will not fire for any account with an active extension. To check, navigate to the account and it will be displayed at the bottom of the Credit Control section on the account homepage. If an extension is in place, it will be shown there. On Access-Hosted systems running v5.540 or above, you can also view all active extensions across the workspace via the Account Credit Extension app in Evo (see the Evo App: Account Credit Extension article).
Account-Level Settings
There are also settings against the account itself that can override the above system-wide settings
Navigate to the account in question
