The EWC codes in Weighsoft are accessed via the below steps:
Hover on Administration
Click on Lookups
Click on EWC Codes
Note: a large number of default EWC codes are written into Weighsoft as part of the initial installation process.
Fields
Field | Description |
Code | The EWC code that will be displayed when linked to a job |
Description | The official EA description associated with the code |
EA Report Code | The code that will be used as part of Digital Waste Reporting |
Conversion | The conversation ratio as set by the EA. This is used to allow conversions between weight and volume. |
Type of Waste | The type of waste that the EWC code is associated with |
Push to Handheld | When enabled this EWC code will appear as on option on drivers handheld devices. |
Important: The "EA Report Code" field only appears from version 5.541 onwards.
This column contains the EWC code that is in the official UK Government format and is used for Digital Waste Reporting. Do Not amend values in this column.
Troubleshooting
No EWC code is being pulled through to an order or job
The EWC code will only pull through to a new order or job if it has first been set as the default against the product or waste type.
Hover on Administration
Click on Lookups
Click on Products
locate the Product in question
Click the Edit button
Scroll down to the EWC Code field
Select a code from the pop-up menu
Click Save
