Overview

Once a skip order has been completed you are able to close the order and prevent further jobs from being created against it.

There are also setting that can be made to close the skip order automatically once it has been collected.

Manual Process

  1. Navigate to the Skip order in question

  2. Click on the "3-line" menu in the top-right corner

  3. Select "Close Order"

  4. Click "OK" in the pop-up confirmation window

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: By default the system will only display the "Close Order" option if the skip is showing as not On-Site (ie: the last completed job on the order was a Collection, Wait & Load or Service)

Settings

The below settings can affect the "Close order" option being available.

Both settings are found via Administration>Settings>Skips & RoRo

  • Show Close Order last job Not Collection - when enabled, the "Close Order" option will appear even if the last completed job on the order was not a Collection

  • Show Close Order last job Not WL or SER - when enabled, the "Close Order" option will appear even if the last completed job on the order was not a Wait & Load or Service

Automatically closing a skip order

Skip Orders can also be set to close automatically when a skip is taken off site (i.e.: when a Collection or Wait and Load job is completed).

This is controlled by the below setting:

  1. Go to Administration>Settings>Skips & RoRo

  2. Scroll down to the "Order Completion Route" setting

  3. select the required option from the drop down:

    1. None - when a Collection or WL job is completed the order will remain open

    2. Prompt - when a Collection or WL job is completed the user will get a pop-up asking them if they want to close the skip order

    3. Delete Auto - no prompt will appear and the skip order will be set to Closed when the collection or WL job is marked as complete

Closing a Skip order that is linked to a Trade Contract

If a trade bin is setup to be delivered via the Skip Operations screen the system will create a one-time skip order associated to the Trade Contract to handle the delivery process.

Once the delivery is completed that skip order is marked as closed and any future jobs are processed through the linked Trade Contract.

There is no way to prevent these orders from being marked as closed automatically.
