Overview
The "Service" job type is a generic job type that can be used for a variety of purposes.
How to Enable the Service Job Type
By default the Service option is disabled on new Weighsoft systems and the "Service" button will not appear on skip orders. It can be enabled by following the below steps:
Navigate to Administration>Settings>Skips & RoRo
Enable the "Show Service Button" option
Click on Save
Service Job Prices
The "Service" job type will pull through the same price as any Wait & Load price that fits the order parameters.
This can also be controlled by enabling the "Use EACH for WL prices". If this is enabled then having a price in Lookups set with a unit of "EACH" will pull that price through to the Delivery, Collection, Wait & Load and Service price fields.
On-Site Status
Because the Service job type is designed to be generic and used for a variety of purposes (for example some customer use this job type if they have to go to a site to repair or clean an on-site skip) it has no effect on the On-Site status of an order.
This means that if you complete a Collection job on an order (which marks the order as Off-site) and then carry out a Service job the order will still show as Off-Site afterwards.
Why are no other buttons showing on the order after creating a "Service" job?
By default, once a Service job has been created that order becomes a "Service" order and will only allow that job type to be used going forward.
This can be corrected by going to Settings>Skips & RoRo and enabling the "Show All Button With Service" option.
How do I stop the "Service" jobs from appearing on the Weighbridge screen?
If the way you use the Service job type means they don't have to come in via the Weighbridge then you can hide by following the below steps:
Go to Administration
Click on Settings
Select Weighbridge on the left-hand side
Scroll to the "Hide/Show" section
Enable the "Hide Service Jobs" option.
Once enabled, skip Service jobs will no longer appear on the Weighbridge Own Vehicle screen.
