There are various factors that could prevent collections from being generated from a contract; the most common ones are listed below.

Account On Stop or Account Inactive

If the account is On Stop or set to be Inactive, then the system will not generate any trade collections until that status is removed.

• The On Stop flag can be reversed by clicking on the red square in the bottom-left of the screen

• The account can be set to Active again by clicking on Modify and ticking the Active option

📌Note: Depending on your settings, these fields can be controlled externally by your accounts package. So it may be worth checking the accounts system to see if the account is also on stop or inactive in there.

The Contract item has an End Date

If the item on the trade contract has passed its End Date, then no further collections will be generated for it. You can check this via the steps below:

1. Go to the Trade Contract

2. Click the Edit button against the item in question

3. Check the End Date field at the top of the screen

If the End Date is in the past, then the system is being told this item is no longer to be used, and no collections will be made.

You can rectify this by removing the End Date completely or moving it to a date in the future.

There is a Suspension in place on the Account or Address

If the account or the address has a suspension in place, then that will prevent collections from being generated.

To check for suspensions, you can follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Account or Address

2. Click on the Diary option on the left

3. Click on the Suspensions tab at the bottom

If there is a suspension in place there will be an entry showing the start date and end date. No collections will be generated during that date range.

📌Note: More information on this can be found in the Trade Suspension Management article
