Booking Product Exchange Jobs

Written by Phil Whitehead

On occasion, a customer may request for a skip to be exchanged for a skip of a different size or collection of different waste. This can be completed, using the Product Exchange job option on the skip order.

By default, the Product Exchange (Exc Prod) button is available from a skip order when there is a skip onsite. This option can be turned off (or re-enabled) by:

  1. Hovering over Administration and click Settings

  2. Click Skips & RoRo

  3. Click Show Product Exchange Button to re-enable or disable as desired

  4. Click Save

Important: When using this functionality, only one product exchange can be booked and live at a time against the order. Attempting to book multiple different product exchanges may result in incorrect prices and information being used on ticket completion

It is also worth noting that whilst the Product Exchange job is live, any new jobs booked after (e.g. exchange, collection) will use the price values for the new product.

Booking a Product Exchange

Upon clicking the Exc Prod button, a box will appear on the screen to select the new product:

Select the new product and waste type then click Get Prices to populate new prices from the existing price files, or manually enter the prices for each job type

Note: It is possible to mix and match the prices, by retrieving stored prices and manually overriding individual movement type prices.

Once the new product/waste has been selected and prices populated, click Create Product Exchange to continue the booking as normal for any other job. The new product prices will show under the existing prices until the job is completed:

On job completion, these prices will be transferred to the normal price lines as the current prices moving forwards.
