When booking in skip jobs where the waste will be tipped, it is possible to assign defaults at the system and order level. Without these defaults, the user will be prompted to select the tip outlet when assigning the work to a vehicle.
System Default
The system-wide setting (Default Tip Outlet Id) is located with the Skips & Roros settings. This is accessed by
Hovering over Administration and clicking Setting
Click Skips & RoRo
The value entered here is the underpinning system-designated id number. The simplest way to obtain this:
Hover over Administration and click Lookups
Click Outlets
View or Edit the outlet you want to be default
The id will be the number in the url after "id=" or will be a standalone number at the end of the url itself.
Once the id is entered, click Save
If the job does not have a tip outlet assigned on creation, this outlet will be assigned upon scheduling to a vehicle.
Any change to the default will result in jobs being scheduled moving forwards being assigned the new Tip Outlet. Any work that already has a Tip Outlet set (i.e. from order default, work already scheduled to a vehicle, jobs with a manually set Tip Outlet) will retain their existing Tip Outlet.
Order Default
The default tip outlet on a skip order will be assigned to a job on booking and will be retained at the time of scheduling to a vehicle.
This is set by opening the Skip Order and assigning the planned tipping destination to Tip Outlet then clicking Save on the order:
If this outlet is changed, any jobs created after the change will receive the new tip outlet. Any existing jobs will retain their current outlet.
In addition a default outlet can be applied to all orders on creation. This is also in the Skips and Roro's section of the Settings: Default Skip Order Tip Outlet
Note: It is recommended that if you are setting a Default Skip Order Tip Outlet that the Default Tip Outlet is also configured. This will ensure that the necessary skip jobs have a Tip Outlet in the event it is cleared after the Job has been created / as part of transitioning from manually assigning outlets on scheduling to system application.
Tip Outlet on Dis-assignment or removal
When dis-assigning a job (removing it from the vehicle), the Tip Outlet may be removed from the job itself. This behaviour is managed by two settings in the Operations Submenu of Settings:
On Deassign Prompt Clear Tip Outlet - A notification will be displayed to the user to confirm if they wish to remove the outlet.
On Deassign Clear Tip Outlet - Removes the outlet from the job without prompting the user for confirmation. This is on by default.
Important: Only one of these two settings should be on at any time to avoid confusion from the system not behaving as expected.
Only On Deassign Prompt Clear Tip Outlet is factored in when using the Charging on De-assign, otherwise the tip outlet is cleared automatically.
Once the Tip Outlet is removed, the system-wide default will be applied on scheduling the job again, the order Tip Outlet isn't factored into the reassignment unless you are using the Map View for scheduling.
Disabling both these settings will enable the retention of the Tip Outlet as part dis-assignment and rescheduling.
