Overview
Skip orders with a regular exchange can be configured to automatically generate jobs using the recurrence feature in Weighsoft. This article outlines how to set up and manage recurrence schedules effectively.
Setting Up Recurrence
Enable Recurrence
Open the skip order.
Click the Recurrence tab (symbolised by two arrows forming a square) on the right-hand side.
Tick the checkbox to enable recurrence.
Job Creation Settings
Create x Job(s)
Set the number of jobs to be created on each scheduled day.
Default is Create 1 Job(s).
Recurrence Pattern Options
Daily
Every x Days: Set the number of days between job creation (default is 1).
Weekly
Days to Create: Select one or more days (Monday–Sunday) for job creation.
Repeat Every x Weeks: Set the interval between job creation (1 = weekly, 2 = fortnightly, etc.).
Auto Create Jobs Out Of Range:
Works with Create Day Offset.
Ensures jobs are created even if the first job falls before the offset.
Important: Not ticking this is a common reason for missing jobs at the start of a recurrence schedule.
Monthly
Creation Date: Choose either:
Day x of the month (e.g., 1st of each month).
The x day of the month (e.g., First Sunday).
Repeat Every x Months: Set the frequency (1 = monthly, 2 = bi-monthly, etc.).
Range of Recurrence
Five key settings must be configured:
Start:
Date of the first job to be created.
Must align with a valid job creation day based on the schedule.
End:
Date of the last job to be created.
Leave blank if the end date is not yet confirmed.
Creation Time:
The time when Weighsoft will create the job (default is midnight).
Check with IT to avoid conflicts with system maintenance.
Creation Day Offset (Weekly only):
Number of days in advance the job is created (0 = same day, 6 = six days ahead).
Skip Next X:
Number of jobs to skip in the schedule.
Leave blank or set to 0 to skip none.
Target Settings
Job Type:
Type of job to create (e.g., delivery, exchange).
Default is EXC (exchange).
Auto Schedule Vehicle:
An optional setting to assign a vehicle automatically if the same one is consistently used.
