Overview

It may be necessary to create multiple jobs at once from a skip order. Perhaps a customer has asked for an Exchange every Monday going forwards, or they specifically want 1 exchange a day for the next 3 days.

Processes

There are 2 main ways to do create multiple jobs

Multi-Job Create from the Skip Order

This process allows you to create multiple jobs all at once directly from the order.

Note: This method relies on the "Show Multi Acc Job Create" option being enabled in Administration>Settings>Skips

Also note that it is only available on Account skip orders, not Cash ones.

Once the above setting has been enabled all Account skip order will show the below panel on the Job Creation screen after you select the job type from the order:

Enter the total number of jobs required in the first field, and in the second enter the number of days between them (this is based on the date entered at the top of the Creation screen.

You also have the option to auto-schedule the jobs and have them be assigned to a vehicle automatically.

Example:

  • You Enter the Due Date of the job as 01/12/25

  • You set the Multi-Create to 3 jobs, 2 days apart

  • You also set them to be auto-assigned to vehicle "SKIP1"

When the Create button is clicked the system will create skip jobs for 01/12/25, 03/12/25 and 05/12/25 and will auto-assign them to that vehicle so they go directly to the Outstanding Tickets screen (bypassing the Operations screens)

Create Recurring Jobs

You can also set up recurring jobs - the process for this is details in the "Automated Job Created" article.
