Overview
Weighsoft allows you to define how much of each waste product is recycled or recovered as energy. These values are used to calculate waste breakdowns in the Advanced Waste Report when a ticket is completed for that product.
How to Set Recycling and Energy Recovery Percentages
Steps:
Navigate to Administration > Lookups.
Click on Products.
Locate the required product and click Edit.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
Set the desired values in the Recycled and Energy Recovered fields.
Example Configuration
If the General Waste product is:
50% Recycled
20% Energy Recovered
Then the remaining 30% will automatically be classified as Landfill in the Advanced Waste Report.
Note: The landfill percentage is calculated as:
100% - (Recycled % + Energy Recovered %)
Important Notes
Changes to recycling and energy recovery percentages only affect future tickets.
Existing tickets will retain the values that were set at the time of their creation.
To update recycling rates on existing tickets, refer to the “Amending the Waste Components on a Transaction” knowledge article.
