Overview
We’re excited to introduce Intercom, a new system within Access-Hosted Weighsoft systems designed to enhance your user experience. Intercom enables the deployment of interactive tooltips and banners directly within the application, helping you access relevant information quickly and stay informed about important updates.
New Help Centre
Intercom is now the new home of all Weighsoft knowledge articles. As we continue to expand the Help Centre, new articles and deeper connectivity within Weighsoft will be added over time.
This integration ensures that help content is always accessible and up to date, right where you need it.
You can reach the new Help Centre at the below link or, if you are running version 5.534 or higher, clicking the "Headphone" icon in Weighsoft
Interactive Tooltips
Tooltips are small, clickable icons that appear on specific screens within Weighsoft. They do not change how the system operates but provide quick access to relevant knowledge articles or provide in-context information relevant to that part of the system.
Benefits:
Save time by accessing help directly from the screen you're working on.
No need to search the Help Centre manually.
More tooltips will be added over time and will appear automatically in your system.
System Banners
Intercom also allows us to deploy banners for important notifications. These banners will appear within the Hosted Weighsoft interface and may include:
Alerts about widespread issues (e.g. a global network outage affecting rivers handheld devices).
Notifications about upcoming system upgrades.
📢 Previously, upgrade timings were communicated via support cases. With Intercom, your entire team can be notified directly, reducing the need for manual communication.
AI Assistant and Live Chat Support (Coming Soon)
AI Assistant Integration - Live Now!
Soon, you’ll have access to an AI-powered assistant within both the Help Centre and Weighsoft. This feature will make it faster and easier to find answers to your questions and locate relevant help resources.
Live Chat Support ("Conversations") - Coming Soon!
We will also be trialling a new Live Chat Support option called Conversations. This will allow users with an active entitlement (i.e., those who can raise support cases) to connect directly with our support engineers in real time for quicker assistance.
