Searching for Older Transactions in Weighsoft

This article explains how to search for transactions older than 3 months in Weighsoft, and how to change the default date range for transaction searches.

Default Search Behaviour

By default, the Transactions screen in Weighsoft only searches 3 months into the past.
This means that if you search using a ticket number via the "By Transaction Ticket No" option, tickets older than 3 months will not appear unless the date range is manually adjusted.

Searching for Older Tickets

In the New Transaction screen

  1. Adjust the "From Date" at the top of the screen to extend the search range further into the past.

In the Legacy Transaction screen

To search beyond the default 3-month range:

  1. Click the Search button on the Transactions screen.

  2. A large yellow filter section will appear.

  3. Adjust the "From Date" at the top of the screen to extend the search range further into the past.

Changing the Default Date Range

To permanently change how far back the system searches by default:

  1. Hover over Administration.

  2. Click on Settings.

  3. Select General from the left-hand menu.

  4. Click on Transactions in the top-right corner.

  5. Locate the "Transaction Search From Date" field.

  6. Enter the desired number of months (e.g., entering 6 will search 6 months into the past).

  7. Click Save at the top of the screen to apply the change.
