What are Activity Code

Overview

Activity codes are a series of codes that are pre-loaded into Weighsoft. The code is set against an outlet or a product and is used to determine what kind of orders or jobs they can be used for.

For example an outlet set to a "Waste in" activity code will be used for Waste coming into the business and so would be available to use for incoming Weighbridge jobs, whereas an outlet set with the "Skips" activity code will only appear as an option for Skip orders.

Once an activity code is set against an outlet or products it will be applied to orders and transactions that use those items. So in the above example an incoming Weighbridge job set against a "Waste in" outlet will show an activity code of "W", and a skip order set against the Skip outlet will show an activity code of "K"

What Activity codes are available?

These default codes are hard coded and cannot be repurposed. If additional Activity Codes need setting up, please raise a case quoting this title and the new code you wish to use. We will then review your request and either set up the new code or advise you of why we can not use it and alternative options.

If you're looking for an inbound and outbound code pair, there are physically only two inbound activities: I and W. No further inbound codes can be configured.
