Overview
This article explains how to access and manage Reconomy jobs within Weighsoft, including accepting, rejecting, and querying jobs, as well as troubleshooting common issues.
Accessing Reconomy Jobs
Hover over Modules.
Click Reconomy.
Click Outstanding Jobs.
Job List
All jobs requested by Reconomy will display from oldest to newest.
To the left of each request is a blue circle with an “i” icon.
Clicking this shows additional booking details.
On the far right is the Action column:
Green tick = Accept
Red cross = Reject
Yellow “?” = Query
Notes:
If only the “?” is visible, the job is in query.
If no icons appear, the job is not configured correctly.
Some job types will show Remove instead of icons; these require manual entry into the system.
Best Practice
If a booking is incorrect, place the job in Query first rather than rejecting it. Rejected jobs cannot be recovered.
Querying a Job
Click the Query icon.
Enter your query details in the box provided.
Click Query.
To remove a query, click the Query icon again and select Remove Query.
Note: While a job is in query, Accept and Reject options are unavailable. Remove the query before taking further action.
Accept, Reject, and Query Options Missing
If these options are unavailable, the job is not set up correctly.
Common causes
Missing link between Reconomy and Weighsoft item
Incorrectly formed job sent by Reconomy
Missing user permissions
Troubleshooting
1. Missing Links
Check Product, Waste Type, and EWC columns.
If any are red, click the red item to open Third Party Lookups.
In the light blue box, you’ll see the third-party code.
Under Our Code, search and select the correct item.
Repeat for all missing links.
2. Incorrectly Formed Job
Contact Reconomy to correct and resend the job.
Note: Permits with incorrect data cannot currently be cleared; a solution is being investigated.
3. Missing User Permissions
Go to Administration > Users > Select User > Permissions tab.
Ensure Accept, Reject, and Query Reconomy Jobs is enabled.
Click Save.
Escalation
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, raise a case with support for further investigation.
