Overview

The Assign Vehicle Checks screen is where items entered in the Vehicle Check Items screen can be grouped into checklists and assigned to vehicles.

When a driver then logs into that vehicle, they will be presented with the checklist, which they have to then work through before they can begin working on jobs.

📌Note: Please refer to the Vehicle Check Items article for details on how created and edit the individual items.

Step 1: Create a New Checklist

Before items can be added or assigned, you must first create the checklist.

  1. Enter the list name into the Description field

  2. If the checklist is for a trailer, then tick the Trailer box

  3. Once complete, click on the "plus" button on the right to create the new list

Step 2: Adding Checks to a List and Assigning it to Vehicles

Once you have created the new list, you can add checks and vehicles by clicking on the View button to the left of the list.

Add Check items to a List

When viewing the list the first panel you will see is the list of available vehicle check items.

The available items are on the left and the items assigned to the current list are on the right.

To assign check items to the list, select them on the left by ticking the boxes against the required check (you can use the search box to find specific items if the list is especially long).

Once you have selected the required item click on the Assign box at the bottom.

The selected items will then be moved to the "Assigned" box on the right.

📌Note: You can re-order the checks on the right side of the panel by dragging and dropping them.
The order shown here is the order in which they will appear on the drivers tablets.

Assign the list to Vehicles

Scrolling down on the same screen, you will come to the Vehicles scertion.
This is where you can assign this list to specific vehicles so it appears when the driver logs into that vehicle on their tablet.

To assign a vehicle to the current list, locate the vehicle on the screen (you can use the Search filters to locate specific ones).

Tick the box against any vehicles that will be subject to the current checklist.

When all vehicles are selected, click on the "Assign To Vehicles" button at the bottom of the screen.

Confirmation

Once the above steps are carried out, the Vehicle Checklists screen will show the number of items and vehicles that are set against each list.
