Vehicle Check items

This article details the creation and editing of vehicle check items in the in-system vehicle checks area

Overview

The "Vehicle Check Items" area is where individual checks can be created, edited or deleted.

This checks can, later on, be grouped into lists which can ten be assigned to specific vehicles.


Create a new Vehicle Check Item

Follow the below steps to create a vehicle check item

Fill in the fields as detailed below:

Field

Description

Description

This the name that the check will appear with on the drivers tablets

Is Critical

An item flagged as "Critical" cannot be skipped by the driver on the tablet

Comment String

There are 3 options:

  • Optional: the driver has the option of entering a comment against the check

  • OnFailure: The driver must enter a comment f the check is failed

  • Always: The driver must enter a comment against the check

Photo String

There are 3 options:

  • Optional: the driver has the option of entering a photo against the check

  • OnFailure: The driver must enter a photo if the check is failed

  • Always: The driver must enter a photo against the check

Is Trailer

Is the check to be carried out on a trailer?

Once you have entered the details click on the "plus" icon on the right


Edit a Vehicle Check Item

Note: IN order to edit items you must have the relevant permission enabled on your user profile. See the "Vehicle Check Settings" article for more details

To edit a Vehicle Check item simply click on the edit button on the left of the item required.

Once that is done, make any required changes to the fields and click on the "Save" icon which appears on the far left

To Cancel Changes

if you decide no changes are required then click on the "Back" arrow next to the Save button.


Delete a Vehicle Check Item

To delete a vehicle check item click on the "Delete2 button on the far-right.

Warning: When a Vehicle Check Item is deleted it is also removed from any check lists and vehicles it was assigned to, and will no longer appear on the tablet for the drivers.
This process cannot be undone.
