Printing from the Weighsoft Mobile App

Overview

Occasionally customers will want a hard-copy print out of a ticket rather than wait for an email to be sent out.

it is possible to link the drivers tablet and the Weighsoft App to a Bluetooth printer which will allow the driver to print out tickets once they have completed the job.


What printer works with the Weighsoft App?

The recommended printer is the SM-T300i Star Printer

This has been tested by our Android developers and confirmed as fully functional.


Setup

Setting up Bluetooth printing requires some work on the tablet itself as well as some options within the Weighsoft app

Tablet Setup

Once the Bluetooth printer is active you will need to pair the printer to the tablet itself.

The options for this vary depending on the tablet but usually there is a Bluetooth" option in the tablet settings and the process to pair a device is usually quite straightforward.

Weighsoft App Settings

Once the tablet has been paired to the Bluetooth printer you will need to follow the below steps within the app itself

  1. Navigate to Settings>External Devices>Printing

  2. Activate the "Enable Printing Support" option

  3. In "Printer Address" select the paired printer

    1. Note: if no printer has been paired to the device then nothing will appear in this menu.

  4. Select the appropriate paper size for your printer

Once these are selected you will be able to check the printer status and print out a test page.
