Password requirements for logging in to Weighsoft can be configured by:

  1. Hovering over Administration and click Settings

  2. Click Users in the General section

From here you are presenting with the the ability to enforce password Complexity for Weighsoft and/or the Weighsoft Portal.

  • Force Password Complexity (Weighsoft) - For Weighsoft itself

  • Force Password Complexity (Portal) - For Weighsoft's customer Web Portal

Note: Password management in the Access hosted environment for Weighsoft is handled by Access Identity: our single sign on platform through Evo. For hosted environments, the complexity rules set here will only apply to the web portal

Once you have selected which area(s) you want password requirements to be enforced on, the remaining settings are to configure the complexity rules:

  • Password minimum length - The minimum length a password must be.

  • Special Character minimum count - The minimum number of non-alphanumeric characters the password must have

  • Upper case minimum count - The minimum number of uppercase characters (A-Z) the password must have

  • Lowercase minimum count - The minimum number of lowercase characters (a-z) the password must have

  • Number minimum count - The minimum number of numeric characters (0-9) the password must have

  • Password regex - A regular expression pattern (e.g. 3 characters, followed by a special character then 2 numbers) a password must follow. This is an advanced function that would need to be setup internally by an individual who is competent in writing regular expressions, or with the assistance of our Professional Services team.
