If a user enters their password incorrectly five times, their account will be locked and they will see the error message:
“The Account Is Locked Out.”
Unlocking a User Account
To unlock a user, you must:
Be logged in as a System Administrator
Be assigned to the Admin group
Steps:
Hover over Administration
Click Users
Locate the locked user in the list — a padlock icon will appear next to their name
Click the padlock icon to unlock the account
Resetting a User’s Password
If the user has forgotten their password, it can be reset by an authorized user.
Steps:
Navigate to Administration → Users
Select the user’s name
Click the Reset Password link in the top-right corner
For users hosted on WeighSoft 5, identify the linked EVO user account and perform the password reset in EVO. The changes will automatically apply to the linked WeighSoft account.
The user will receive an email with a temporary password sent to the email address associated with their account.
Note: This will also reset the user's Banksman password, as Weighsoft and Banksman credentials are shared. Additionally, for hosted environments, any changes made in EVO will reflect in the associated WeighSoft account, streamlining the password management process.
Permissions and Limitations
Not all users will see the Reset Password link — visibility depends on user permissions.
If you're unsure who has the required permissions, you can raise a case with Support for assistance.
Unlocking or resetting a password in the Live system does not affect the same user in the Test system.
For hosted environments, password resets may require identifying and updating linked EVO accounts.
