Manage Weighbridge Head Configurations

This article assumes you have a valid, tested Weighbridge head configuration. If you have had a new weighbridge head installed and do not have a working configuration, please reach out to your account manager to setup a project to test. The following information will be required by our professional services team:

  • The make and model of the Weighbridge head removed

  • The make and model of the Weighbridge head installed

  • Connection type (IP or serial)

  • The IP address of the weighbridge head (if IP connection)

  • The port number to connect to the weighbridge head

  • If Serial

  • The COM port number for the Weighbridge head

  • Baud Rate

  • Data Bits

  • Stop Bits

  • Parity

  • Command String

  • New Line

  • Tally Start

  • Tally Length

  • Weight Start

  • Weight Length

  • Read Timeout

  • A contact for the company that replaced the head

To manage Weighbridge configurations:

  1. Hover over Administration and click Lookups

  2. Click Weighbridges

From here, you can either delete the Weighbridge, by clicking the delete icon, edit by clicking the edit icon or add a new configuration by clicking Add A New Item.

The following must be set:

  • Name - the display name for the Weighbridge connection (e.g. site in, site out etc)

  • Connected - This must be checked for the Weighbridge to be shown when taking the weight, unchecking this would be for scenarios where the head is out of use (e.g. down for maintenance)

  • Location - The location the Weighbridge configuration is for

  • Local Access Url - The url setup for the Weighbridge integration service

  • Config - The configuration string for the Weighbridge head

Once all changes have been made, click Create (for a new entry) or Save (for an existing entry)
