Configuring Landfill Pricing
To set up landfill pricing with a per-tonne landfill tax and a gate fee with a minimum threshold, follow these steps:
Set Up Landfill Tax (LFT): - Bind the landfill tax to the tipping line (the main product being tipped). - Assign the appropriate tax code and rate to the product so that the landfill tax is calculated per tonne with no minimum.
Create a Gate Fee Product: - Create a separate product to represent the gate fee and mark it as an “Additional Weighbridge Item.” - Define a price file for this gate-fee product (e.g., £50 per tonne).
Operational Configuration: - On ticket completion, add the gate-fee product as an extra charge. - Set the quantity to the greater of the delivered tonnes or the minimum threshold (e.g., charge for 2 tonnes if less than 2 tonnes is delivered, otherwise use the actual tonnage).
Optional Template Setup: - If this configuration applies to a specific account or common scenarios, create a Weighbridge template. This template can preload the waste product (with LFT) and the gate-fee additional item, allowing operators to adjust quantities as needed.

Prices in Weighsoft are tied to products. Ensure you have separate products for the waste (with LFT) and the gate fee.
Tax codes and rates are managed in the Tax Code and Tax Rates lookups, respectively.
Enabling Weighbridge Pricing Fields
To enable or locate the Weighbridge pricing fields setting:
Navigate to Admin > Settings > Weighbridge in the system.
Use the search function (e.g., Ctrl + F) to find the “Enable Price Fields” option.
Toggle the setting on if it is not already enabled.
