Overview
Weighsoft includes functionality for validating email addresses. When enabled, this feature ensures that only correctly formatted email addresses are accepted when entered into contacts or orders.
How It Works
When Email Validation is enabled, the system checks email addresses for common formatting issues. If an invalid email is entered, an error message stating "Invalid Email" will appear.
Examples of Invalid Email Addresses
An email address will be flagged as invalid if:
It contains a space (either within the address or at the beginning/end).
It does not contain an "@" symbol.
Once the issue is corrected, the system will accept the email address.
Disabling Email Validation
If you prefer to disable this functionality, follow these steps:
Navigate to Administration > Settings.
Click on General.
Scroll down to the Order section.
Disable Enable Email Validation.
Click Save.
Note: Even when email validation is disabled, the system will still check for illegal characters, such as:
