If a user is receiving bounced-back emails referencing an email address that is no longer in use (for example, an address from a previous software provider or an old integration), the address may still be registered in Weighsoft's system settings as a notification recipient.
Locating the address
The address causing the bounce-backs can be found in:
Administration > System Settings > Additional > Enable Send To Email
This setting can hold an email address that receives system-generated alerts. If that address is no longer valid or monitored, any alerts sent to it will bounce back to the user associated with the notification.
Removing the address
Confirm the email address is genuinely obsolete (e.g. no longer registered, tied to a decommissioned system or previous software provider).
Navigate to Administration > System Settings > Additional > Enable Send To Email.
Remove the obsolete email address from this field.
Save the change.
Once the invalid address is removed, alerts will no longer be sent to it and the bounce-back emails should stop.
If the address reappears after an upgrade
In at least one observed case, this setting was found to reinstate the removed address after a subsequent platform update. If bounce-backs resume after an upgrade, check this setting again and remove the address a second time, and report the recurrence to support so it can be investigated.
