This guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring bays, using them during weighbridge operations, and managing stock movements in the ERP system. Follow these guidelines to streamline your stock control processes.
Configuring Bays
To set up bays for stock control:
Navigate to Administration > Lookups > Bays.
Configure the bays and assign them to the appropriate outlets. This ensures that bays are available for selection during weighbridge operations.
Using Bays in Weighbridge Operations
Weighbridge operators can select bays during job entry:
On the weighbridge input screen, the Bay field appears if the selected outlet has bays configured. If only one bay is configured for the outlet, it will auto-fill. Otherwise, the operator must manually select the bay.
Using a weighbridge job template that includes a bay also enables this functionality.
Managing Stock in Bays
To manage stock in bays:
Access the Stock Control module via Modules > Stock Control.
Open Stock Control Admin to add items and specify a bay for stock adjustments. If bays are already set up and selected during weighbridge jobs, manual assignment in Stock Control Admin is not necessary.
Performing Stock Transfers
To move stock between outlets or bays, you have two options:
Two-Step Transfer via Stock Control Admin: - Create an outbound movement to reduce stock at the source outlet/bay. - Create an inbound movement to increase stock at the destination outlet/bay.
Single Balanced Transfer via Stock Processing: - After completing a weighbridge job, use Stock Control > Stock Processing to perform a single balanced transfer. This method keeps volumes balanced and updates the location/bay in one workflow.
By following these steps, you can efficiently configure and manage bays, streamline weighbridge operations, and ensure accurate stock control in your ERP system.
